"It was the day that he was killed. That day I was going to finally find out. What was really in his heart."
Today I read this story again. It's about a boy and a girl, who met each other since they were kids. They began to love each other, but neither of them had enough courage to tell each other about the feeling. Then they grew up, they began their new life, but never forgot each other. After a lot of things, when finally they decided to tell the love, the boy (man) died in a car accident. He left a diary for her, the diary was started the day they first met. The end of the diary was written: "Today I will tell her I love her."
They met the first time at the fence, and they met the last time at the fence. Their love was meant to last forever, but now it was a memory. They missed their happiness.
It's just like Hoobastank's song "The Reason".
He was standing there. He saw her, walking across the street in front of him. Finally he decided to tell her that he was sorry. But suddenly a car crushed into her body, her beautiful brown hair was dancing in the burning sun...She lay on the ground, closed her eyes. She couldn't wait to hear his apologize. He was shocked, he couldn't face this. He ran away.
"A reason to start over new, and the reason is you."
They missed it. And would never get it again. In another world, would they see this through? They didn't find a reason for love. It's their destiny to love each other, it's also destiny to miss the love.
After all, the stars are shining still in the big clear sky. Now stop waiting, to tell the people you love them. To make them happy, during the days you're still sharing with them.
In "Hanover Square", love becomes so beautiful and so indelible.
"From that moment, everything seemed to make perfect sense to me. The people in the cafe and the busy street outside all disappeared into a hazy blur. All I could see was you."
Since the first day they met, they began to hold this love. After so many years, after the whole life, the love never faded away. The love was still like bright vibrant colors of their youth.
"I know you are tired, my dear, and I must let you go. But I love you so much and it hurts to do so."
The long days they belonged to each other. They grew old together. The sparkling eyes, the small stream, the big old oak trees...All as their love, never disappear, never change.
"I know it won't be long before we meet again in that small cafe in Hanover Square.
Goodbye, my darling wife."
Death is everybody's destiny. After all, we have to leave. But their love is forever. Like the fresh air in the morning, covered the wide wild world, covered the wild tired hearts.
I cried. I was deeply moved by the love. It's truly a lifetime. Like my grandpa and grandma's love. Grandma followed grandpa, after three days since grandpa died, after the most difficult time of grandma, she flied to another world with grandpa. It's kinda happiness. Finally she walked through the distance of their hearts, she walked out of the limit of alive and dead. It's larger than life.
Sometimes, we just don't give the right things the right value. Now fly our love, to let the people feel it, to hold it,to remember it.
